 " Mantan Moreland's Party Albums " Back in the late 60's/early 70's, a ton of black comedians made "party albums", which contained X-rated ("Adults Only") jokes. Perhaps the most famous was Redd Foxx, who was known as the "King of the Party Records". BUT....many people didn't know that MANTAN MORELAND also made several! This compiliation consists of 2 COMPLETE Mantan "Party Records"; "That Ain't My Finger" & "Elsie's Sportin' House". He is joined by comedians Roosevelt Myles & Janet Taylor. These recordings, made about 3 years before Mantan's death, show that he had lost NONE of his terrific comic delivery! (This recording also contains 2 of his famous "Interruptions" routines). Track 1 contains Zacherley recordings from 1998. Tracks 2 & 3 consist of his COMPLETE album, "Monster Mash", recorded in 1964. (It was duped to CD directly from the original recording). Tracks 4 & 5 consist of the rarely-heard COMPLETE recording of Pickett's famous "Monster Mash" album. (In the 1970's, Parrot Records reissued the original album, but it wasn't complete: it was missing "Skully Gully", "Wolfbane", "Monster Motion", and "Irresistable Igor". This CD is COMPLETE! This was Zack's first lp (early 60's), the title being a parody of "Sing Along With Mitch (Miller)". "Scary Tales" is probably THE rarest Zack lp! It's almost impossible to find today! (I've seen it go for $150 - $200 on ebay!) The first track "Scary Tales" is a "trick track" that was created by putting THREE different grooves next to each other.....so, every time you started the lp, you would hear a DIFFERENT version of the song, which freaked people out! I've put ALL THREE tracks on this cd! Lastly, track 5 is the introduction of the "Zacherley Archives" video, where Zack talks about his early career in Philadelphia and NYC. It includes a "blooper" -- Zack starts to sing "Spider Lullaby", but forgets the words! You can hear the cameramen laughing in the background! The songs are:

I've heard many "Hallowe'en" CDs, but this is THE BEST! Recorded in 1974 by Pickwick Records, it contains contant sounds of howling wind and thunder, along with "scary sounds". Clocks chiming, cackling/sinister laughter, dogs howling, clanking chains, footsteps, cat fight, ghost moans, monster sounds, etc. I put a couple of speakers in my windows on Hallowe'en Night, and just let it play over & over! The kids LOVE it! (Every 15 mins, a sinister voice says, "I hope you enjoyed your visit to the haunted house, and I hope you come back NEXT Hallowe'en!", followed by a sinister laugh. Start a Hallowe'en Tradition! |
Click on the speaker icon to hear a sample! |  This is an actual recording of the Howard Stern Show, 9/11/01, starting about 5 minutes before the first plane hit the World Trade Center, until he signed off the air about 2 1/2 hours later. The program starts out talking about Howard's meeting with Pamela Sue Anderson. The crew teases Howard about not having sex with her when they met. Suddenly, Howard breaks in with a news report that a "plane has just hit the World Trade Center" (!). No one can believe it, and they even make jokes about it. Then they turn on the TV feed, and are shocked by what they're seeing! They simply can't believe it. They receive many calls, describing the disaster, and interview a woman who was on the 32nd floor. Announcements about blood donation centers are given, as well as speculation of what's happening. (Many false rumors surface -- for example, that THREE planes hit the WTC). Howard & the crew start freaking out and try to call their families, but most of the phone lines are down. It's interesting to note that, several times, Howard places the blame on Osama bin Laden! (And rightly predicted that nothing would be done to him). This is chilling broadcast, much like the Hindenburg disaster and the (in)famous "War of the Worlds" broadcast -- only this is REAL! They mention that "there are 3 events that you will remember all your life: 1. When President Kennedy was shot, 2. When the men landed on the moon, and 3. The destruction of the WTC. Experience a valuable piece of history! (I spent many hours with frequency equalisers, normalisers, declickers, and other electronic equipment, in order to get the best possible sound quality).
